Privacy Notice
2026-10-11.2 · 2026-10-11
PBS manages account and service data. Organizations determine the purposes of their private workspace records; PBS handles those records under the applicable workspace agreement. Public earthquake information is available without registration. We do not upload address books, sell research traces or use advertising identifiers.
Accounts store a handle, display name, password hash, language and terms receipt. Private contacts, encrypted chat, selected-recipient check-ins, voluntary felt reports, beta choices and support/privacy requests are stored only for features you use. Organization records contain sites, plans, tasks, memberships and audit activity. Site coordinates are organization-provided browsing references, not employee tracking.
Language, area, display, watched-place and educational-test preferences can remain on your device. Cloudflare provides the HTTPS edge and an approximate country suggestion; infrastructure sees necessary connection information. The application uses PBS-administered server storage. APNs (Apple) or FCM (Google) receives a device token and limited notification payload only when its native integration is configured and you opt in. Web Push uses your browser’s provider. Source data comes from USGS; local map geometry comes from Natural Earth. No optional analytics or marketing tracking is enabled.
Browser sessions expire after seven days; chat after 30 days; check-ins after seven days; invitations after 24 hours; reports after 30 days; support requests and organization audit activity after 90 days. Native credential and notification expiry is shown by the native API. Account/workspace records remain while the service is used. Backups are restricted, expire after seven days and are kept outside public application directories. Deletion revokes access and removes current account-linked records; backup restoration reapplies the deletion ledger before serving traffic.
Processing supports requested service delivery, account administration, security, consented communications and applicable legal obligations. Terms acceptance is not consent to every optional use. Notifications are opt-in and revocation cancels pending delivery. Sensor collection, raw traces, employee location monitoring are unavailable in this release.
Use in-app privacy controls or info@pragmaticsolutions.app for access, correction, export, deletion, objection, restriction, consent withdrawal or other applicable rights. Identity verification is proportionate and must protect others. Rights and required response periods depend on applicable law; neither language nor inferred country determines them. Hosting and provider processing can cross borders; PBS remains responsible for applicable transfer requirements. Security controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee perfect security. Accounts are intended for adults.
Voice and video use WebRTC media encryption in transit. Chat is encrypted at rest on PBS infrastructure, not end-to-end encrypted. Accepted peers and relay infrastructure can observe necessary connection metadata, including IP addresses. Signaling is encrypted at rest, expires after at most one hour, and is removed ten minutes after a closed call; call metadata expires after seven days. Microphone and camera tracks stop when you end the call or leave the page. PBS does not record or transcribe calls. Recipients can independently capture or disclose communications; choose contacts carefully.
Nearby-resource searches require a separate affirmative choice. The browser may obtain precise GPS coordinates, which are rounded to roughly one kilometer before the requested search is sent through PBS to the Private.coffee Overpass provider using OpenStreetMap data. Searches are cached only in server memory for up to ten minutes without an account identifier; they are not written to the application database. Network providers see their necessary connection information. You can use country directories without location permission. Optional offline saves on your device contain the approximate search area and expire after seven days; clear them from Local resources.
Private earthquake-update preferences store your chosen country, minimum magnitude and opt-in time. Inbox records retain sourced event information for seven days and do not disclose your preferences publicly. Ordinary notifications have their own purpose and permission. Disabling inbox updates and withdrawing push subscriptions are separate controls. An information notice does not request emergency dispatch.
USGS and EMSC provide sourced earthquake catalogs; Natural Earth provides base geography; OpenStreetMap/Overpass provides mapped facilities. IFRC and CDEMA links lead to independent official or humanitarian resources. Opening an external resource or map follows its own privacy practices. We do not represent these organizations as our partners.
We do not sell personal data, use targeted advertising, train unrelated models on private communications or infer a safety status from silence. We honor applicable Texas and local privacy rights, including required consent for sensitive processing and applicable appeal procedures. Contact info@pragmaticsolutions.app if an in-app request cannot be completed. Data may be retained longer only where legally required or necessary for a specifically documented dispute or security obligation, with access and use limited to that purpose.
